The Future Teacher Association (FTA), an affiliate of NCAE, also provides scholarships for
students.
Each year three scholarships are awarded to high school seniors, one for $1,000 and two
for $500.
FTA members who apply for the scholarships are screened through an interview process
and are selected based upon their G.P.A., school activities, their philosophy concerning
education, and their desire to become an educator.
FTA was established in 1974 and is designed to serve as a recruitment organization for the
teaching profession.
