Safe Schools
Money
For
the last 3 years administrators that have met the safe school standards
have receive a 1 % addition to their salaries as bonus for going the extra
mile in providing and meeting safe school standards set up by by the State.
Instruction. Today, we find out that this year we get a one percent
bonus, which is not added to our salary and that this is the last year
the 1% bonus will be in the budget. In this time of increased national,
state, and local, concern for security and safety, can we afford
not to have high standards for school safety and does it not make sense
to reward administrators that are pro active in meeting safe school standards
set up by our state.
NCAE
Administrators and members throughout the state need to, once again, show
leadership by contacting other administrators and their local legislators
to voice their concern. The safety of each and every student is and must
be of major concern for all school employees. 1,600 administrators
teamed with 70, 000 educators throughout the state can and must make a
difference.
