2026 NCRSP Elections

All the information you need for our 2026 union retired division elections.

Greetings NCRSP Members,

NCRSP is moving into alignment with our parent organization, NCAE, on new election procedures to ensure compliance with the LMRDA (Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959). 

Please review the spring 2026 election information listed below. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Malika Butler at [email protected] or call 919-755-5550. 

You will receive a physical and electronic copy of your election information this year. The physical copy will be published in NCRSP's Panorama newsletter.

  1. Positions Open for Nomination:
    • NCRSP State Positions (2- year term): President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer
    • NCRSP State Positions (1-year term): NEA-R Delegate: (approximately 7-8 delegates will represent North Carolina at the NEA-Retired Annual Meeting and NEA Representative Assembly)
    • NCRSP Regional Positions (1- year term):
      • Association Director Position: Region 5, Region 6B, & Region 7B
      • Secretary Position: Region 1B, Region 5, Region 6A, & Region 6B
      • Treasurer Position: Region 1A, Region 6A, & Region 7A
    • NCRSP Local Positions (2-year term): *More information will be forthcoming about elections for NCRSP locals.

2.  NCRSP 2026 ELECTION DEADLINES:

  • WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 7, 2026: DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ELECTRONIC NOMINATIONS FOR NCRSP STATE, REGIONAL, AND NEA-R DELEGATE POSITIONS.
  • WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2026: DEADLINE TO WITHDRAW/MAKE CHANGES TO THE NOMINATION FORM.
  • NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, JANUARY 30, 2026: DEADLINE FOR LOCAL ELECTION NOMINATION SUBMISSIONS
  • THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2026: OPT-OUT OF RECEIVING ELECTION INFORMATION FROM CANDIDATES RUNNING FOR OFFICE
  • MARCH 22-APRIL 3, 2026: VOTING BEGINS AT 7PM ON MARCH 22, 2026 AND ENDS 11:59 PM ON APRIL 3, 2026.
