2026 NCAE/NEA Elections

All the information you need for our 2026 union leadership elections.

Greetings NCAE Members,

NCAE Positions Open for Nomination:

NCAE President: 3 year term

NCAE Vice President: 3- year term

NEA Director: 3- year term

Region 1B Director: 3- year term 

Region 2 Director: (1): 1- year term (Forsyth is ineligible)

Region 3 Director: (1): 3- year term (Gaston is ineligible)

Region 4 Director: (1): 3- year term (Guilford is ineligible)

Region 5 Director: (1): 3- year term (Wake is ineligible)

Region 6 Director: (1): 3- year term (Sampson Co.- Clinton City is ineligible)

NEA State Allotted Delegate- Category 1- non-supervisory personnel (approximately 19 delegates will be funded). (teachers, classified staff, etc.)

NEA State Allotted Delegate- Category 2- supervisory personnel (approximately 1 delegate will be funded) (principals, assistant principals, etc.)

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 7, 2026: DEADLINE TO SUBMIT AN ELECTRONIC NOMINATION

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2026: DEADLINE TO CHANGE OR WITHDRAW NOMINATION

NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, JANUARY 30, 2026: DEADLINE TO SUBMIT A LOCAL NOMINATION

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2026: CANDIDATE PROFILES FOR NCAE PRESIDENT, NCAE VICE PRESIDENT, NEA DIRECTOR, REGIONAL DIRECTOR POSITIONS, BOARD POSITIONS ON THE DIVISION OF PRINCIPALS/ADMINISTRATORS, ESP, OR STUDENTS SERVICES WILL BE LISTED ON THE WEBSITE

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2026: DEADLINE TO OPT-OUT OF RECEIVING ELECTION MATERIALS FROM CANDIDATES

MARCH 22-APRIL 3, 2026: VOTING FOR THE ELECTION BEGINS MARCH 22 AT 7PM AND ENDS AT 11:59PM ON APRIL 3, 2026
